About LPG

LPG is a Green Fuel

  • At India, LPG is mainly blending of Propane, Butane, some propylene, N-butanes, Iso -butanes. It is in gaseous state at atmospheric pressure and can be liquified by pressurising at moderate pressure (6-7 bar) at normal ambient temperature.
  • LPG is a Green fuel. It has NO Sulphur contents (few ppm)and NO amount of “free water content” and hydrogen sulphide.
  • Complete combustion of LPG occurs at a LPG:Air, where LPG ratio range is 2 % to 9.6 %, which is precisely controlled by latest LPG Burners. This property also makes it a Safe fuel.
  • In the worst case there can be negligible level of hazardous emissions like SOx, NOx, CO and Black Carbon, the second biggest contributor to global warming.
  • Pyrolysis process does not happen in case of LPG.

VOT cylinders are normal conventional type of cylinders which you will find at your homes, restaurants, and other commercial establishments.

In this type of cylinder, the LPG is converted to vapour naturally inside the cylinder and is discharged out through cylinder valve for usage.

Due to very less LPG vapour off take rate: 0.4 – 0.7 kg/hr (maxi.), Multiple cylinder installation is required, which occupies large space for gas bank.

There is always residual LPG loss per cylinder @ 700 gms to 1 kg.

Since LPG takes laten heat from the ambient temperature cylinder freezing / sweating problem , particularly during winters and monsoons. This results in inconsistent mass flow of LPG to burner.

To overcome the limitation of VOT cylinders, LOT cylinders were designed to address the problems of low offtake rate, space and constant mass flow for small, medium and large scale industries where bulk installation is not possible.

In case of LOT cylinders, LPG is drawn in form of liquid LPG instead of conventional LPG vapour, using a specially designed multifunctional valve and is transferred to a vaporizer to convert liquid LPG to vapour form for further usage.

Constant Mass flow rate of LPG of 7 kg/hr for 47.5 kg cylinder and up to 30 kg/hr for 422 kg cylinder.

No Residual Wastage.

Relatively Less Footprint Area is required, 60% lesser space requirement.
