Fuel Conversion

ADVANTAGES OF LPG OVER LIQUID FUELS

  • LPG as high Calorific value; GCV: 11800 Kcal/kg and NCV: 11400 Kcal/kg.Net Saving on fuel expenses.
  • No Fuel atomization cost: All Liquide fuel requiresAtomization of fuel &needs external energy to atomize before injecting the fuel into the combustion chamber Heavier the fuel higher is the atomization cost.
  • Constant mass flow: Instant and Uniform heating with LPG through automatic temperature control systems results in savings of Fuel Cost & quality of End product.

ADVANTAGES OF LPG OVER LIQUID FUELS

  • Flash Point:LPG has flash point of -104°Cwhich ensures complete combustion and 98 % of fuel efficiency.
  • Latent heat of vaporization: During combustion process liquid fuel gets converted to vapour and the vaporization process takes away the latent heat of vaporization from the combustion heat – 110 kcal/kg.
  • No Preheating:Liquid fuels has high pour pointsand viscositylikeHSD (5°C – 15°C), LDO (14°C – 21°C),FO (27°C),pre-heating is a must factor which contributes to cost.
  • No wastage of fuel due to spillage. No Adulteration possible.

ADVANTAGES OF LPG OVER LIQUID FUELS

  • Flash point: All Liquid fuels have higher flash points (>+35°Cto+65°C)and can be burnt 100% only at slightly positive pressure. Due to these there are high chances of incomplete combustionsin case of Liquide fuels and emission of harmful gases.
  • Cleaner burning, shoot free and significant decrease in scaling increases the equipmentand  burner life,  Low maintenance down time amounting toIncrease in production. No scrubbers are required for Chimney.
  • Direct heating can be possible as LPG is clean fuel, especially in Surface Coating and Food industry.
